Default acura integra RS...type r related

hey fellas...question on those who are teg freaks...

after being inspired by a couple buddies on HT about it, i wanted to clean up the rear hatch of my '01 R and too and was wondering if the early RS integras came without the rear windshield wiper stock. i thought the only teg that came stock without one was the 97 R. am i wrong on this?? i ask due to some offers made to me online on a rs hatch, so i wanted to clear up some misconception.

i know, i know...just get the rear-wiper delete kit from my nearest honda dealer, but i just wanted to know what my options were before i made a decision. it looks clean with the delete kit already, but would be even cleaner smooth...just like the jdm counterpart and the US 97.

even my classic 2000 acura type r brochure shows the R without one....and its clean...i'll worry about the squirt gun on the roof later thanks in advance...

So you're contemplating replacing the rear hatch glass on your '01R for a "cleaner" look?? wtf?

bp...i'm not the first or the last. some people have different opinions on different things, but i'm only asking about a black and white, yes or no question here. does the rs hatch come with one or not...its a simple question. i didn't think it would evoke a response like "wtf" from a senior member whos always been constructive...geez, some people would spend $5000 on just a jdm front....i'm only askin' for glass here....

anyway, last thing i wanna do is start a flame war and waste bandwith. i love this forum and would rather see constructive, informative repertoiry between members. mods delete this as you see fit...

easy there - no harm done

if you do get the hatch glass replaced (why you would do this if the rear glass is still intact is a mystery to me) - make sure IT IS DONE PROPERLY. You risk having water leakage problems if it is done improperly.

I think the 97Rs are the only ones that came with the wiperless glass.
