Default d16y7 in ef

If im converting my car from obdo to obd1 n i have a p28 ecu with jumper harness will the p28 ecu work even if i dnt have a v-tec head? And what distributor will i have to use? Will i have to use a ex distributor?

So i basically bought the p28 ecu for.nothing n it wont work unless i have a v-tec head? Pls tell me it isnt so?

Yeah man no.dice you have two options

Slap a y8 head on there

Or

Sell it p28s sell quick.so i wouldnt worry to much

100 bucks is average

Well i jusg talked to the guy at rywire (david) n he said that i will b able to use the p28 ecu it will jjst throw a code for v-tec but i am gonna need a dx distributor...

if you trow in a p28 in it. wont it hurt the preformence bad at 5500rpm when vtec is sopposed to kick in??

Nah its just this damn mpfi swap is making me go insane! Sometimes i wish i would have just stayed dual point but i wanted more out of that motor
