b16a-91 hatch help needed
Sup guys, a buddy and I just dropped a JDM b16 into my 91 hatch dx. I have a question about the wiring, i found a couple things online but i want to make sure the info i have is correct. We're gonna keep the car obd0 for now, so were gonna wire in the resistor box to the original harness that's on the car. The resistor box connector has 8 wires and the engine harness has 12. What is the correct way to get all of these wires together? Straight forward answers guys please. Thanks for the help.

You need to do mpfi swap you cant plug a si harness in and it work. You need to add two injector wires and cut you aux and main injector that's where you get the wires for the box. Injector clips have two wires one for power one for resistor box

ok so the image i got here is were the resistor box has to plug into the si civic main harness has just those 8 wires and that routes down through the firewall going right were the steering column is so the dx model wasnt meant for the resistor box so of course the connector has more wires i cut that plug hoping to just cut and solder together but thier are too many same wires im need of starting my car any help is thanked
correct, the only purpose the si harness will serve is for the injector clips, distributor plugs, and resistor box. other than that you dont need it. try n find a dx harness. once yo have that we can walk you through the process. better you have it in front of you, than you try n picture it.
ok well i do have the d15 engine harness just dont got it with me at the moment so if i use that i would still need the resistor box correct
as long as the injectors your using require a resistor box, then yes. it doesnt matter if your obd1, obd2 whatever. what matters is which type of injectors you have. if they are stock obd0 injectors, then yes they need a resistor box
