Very simple take the plug with 8 yellow/black wires do a continuity check with each injuector plug(finds the coresponding yellow wire). Then when you find the four on the acctuall plug cut each of the 4 about 1 1/2 inch back from the plug. Take the red wire and the 4 1 1/2 inch wires and join them, then take the 4 blacks and yellows that run to the acctual plugs and in no particular order join each black to a yellow wire. Very simple.

ok there are 4 black and 1 red on the box. there was a plug on there. so i no it may look ghetto. but could i hook the bos up off the injector clips? if so what direction. do the 4 blacks go toward the ecu or the injector clips?

so ive read the other forums in here about the resistor bow wiring. and it says to look for the dead end plug with 8 yellow black wire on them. well i have no dead end plug nor anything with 8 yellow/black wires

The dead plug is on the driver's shock tower of OBD1 vehicles.

What vehicle do you have? Post it up, guarantee you'll have your answer promptly.

Ahh its OBD2 I really dont know where that connector is on your car. When you find out let me know though.
Check my instructions the last pic is a wire which you have to put together to install it without cutting your OEM wires (ie solderless). If you can't make that wire let me know and I'll put one in the mail for you on Mon morning. Just PM me your address again.

Yeah, there is a gang plug under the IM, correct. The "dead" cap acts as a power distribution point... you need to use a multimeter to identify what four wires go to your injectors, which wire feeds power, wire in the resistor box, and make sure everything else is still getting power fed to it or your car won't start. If it's anything like the only OBD2 car I've installed a resistor box on, a 97 Piglude, anyway.

what exactly is this resistor box doing ?
Can it be modded to work on any fuel injection system?
Lets say you wanted to use it on a different type of engine where you had to use low impedence injectors with a high impedence system, can you make it work ?
Sorry for all the questions .

This is IMO overkill. It is very simple. Heres a pic

All you have to do is follow the four yellow wires FROM the injectors to about half-way or so and cut them. Buy some wire from pep boys, etc that is the proper gauge, this will be used for extending. Wire the four wires FROM the ecu together then solder them to the red one on the resistor box, finish it up some shrink wrap for safety and cleanness. Then use the wire you bought to extend the four remaining wires to wherever you put the resistor box and wire them accordingly in no particular order. If you know what your doing with the extra wire you can make this look spotless without the continuity bullshit.

yellow, green, red, brown wires go directly to the injectors... what signal do they carry ?
the red wire from the resistor box intercepts the other wire going from the ecu to the injector.. what signal does that wire carry? ( the one from the ecu )
The yellow wires going from the resistor box to the injector seem to carry the modified signal, is that correct ?
I am asking this way so I can get this to work on something else besides a Honda.
Thanks !

Hrm, good but the yel/blk wires don't actually go to the ecu.

Maybe not but for arguments sake it makes the diagram easier for people to understand. I guess it would be more accurate if it read "From Firewall" but it's not my diagram and I don't think it really matters that much.

i wish my resistor box looked like that. mine looks like a ash-tray from an old plymouth or something like that.
