Another CD5 not starting issue PLEASE HELP
93 CD5 F22A (RHD Australian)
I have searched and read all posts I can find, and like my CRX, keep reading how prone these are to main relay failure.
I have full power to all accessories, near new battery and vehicle cranks strongly.
I have no fuel and no spark.
Vehcile has a new distributor and as of this afternoon a new main relay. No change.
When key is turned to "on" position, all usual dash lights illuminate including check engine light. After a couple of seconds, some lights go out as usual but check engine light remains illuminated.
There is no sound of the fuel pump priming.
I have disconnected the battery and removed the fuse to reset the computer with no change.
I have bridged the two points of the dignostic plug behind the glove box and still the check engine light remains illuminated constantly with no CEL codes flashed.
ECU is my next logical thought, but not a cheap one.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Did you try jumping the car?
I had a similar problem in my Honda Accord (96) and although the horn and lights turned on the battery was the issue. I ended up buying a new battery and my problems were solved. I always believed that if the lights and horn worked then it wasn't your battery until my dad showed me.
When you say near new how old is the battery? Maybe it's not holding a charge or something. My battery was maybe a year and a half old when it failed. It could have been because I jumped a couple of cars in that time frame.

does your ecu have a little indicator light on it? my old f22a4 ecu had an indicator light on the ecu itself that would flash the codes. i miss that little light...
Thank you for the suggestions. Can't understand jump starting a car if there is powerful cranking, no fuel and no spark.
Anyway, turned out the ECU was BBQ. Have replaced and good as gold.
Thanks again all.
