I have recently ran into some problems with my AC/Heat unit and have noticed that it is constantly blowing air/heat at full blast. When the control is set to off it still blows this air and when i turn the **** to low or full blast it is still the same flow of air and i can hear the fan kicking on. I do notice an idle change when i move the switch from the off position to anywhere from low to high and it does change from heat to ac when i switch from the highest temp setting to the lowest temp setting. The defroster works as it normally does when it is set to work so i am wondering if the blower motor transistor or bad or what is the main source of this problem. All fuses check out to be in working condition.

 

sounds like your resistor has gone bad. I would definitely replace that to start with
