Turbo LSVTEC- Which Crank?
Hey Guys,
Hoping I could get some input here.
My original set up was a sleeved turbo gsr block. Well upon install of this brand new block it was leaking coolant everywhere so i need to get another block.
The only block I have right now to sleeve is an ls block, can't find any bare gsr blocks around. I'm running a stock ls block in the meantime so i have everything for the conversion anyways.
My question is. I already have the wiseco pistons and GSR eagle rods and woud like to just swap all internals, including the crank over to the b18b. Would this be ok? or am I better off using the ls crank and getting new rods?
Pistons are 84mm 8.8:1 wisecos
Head is stock gsr cams with full supertech valve train.
thanks

1.5 mm of extra stroke doesn't make much different in power for the average setup, run what you have it will still make the power. And it can all go into an ls block but the vtec block is better and offers the crank girdle
are you asking about power or price
price- its cheaper to just drop it in the ls block with your current parts
power- the ls crank and rods will give some more displacement and possibly help depending upon what you want from the motor
