How to get the max airflow to a F23
Well, first off I'm quite a newborn when it comes to Hondas. My wife owns a 2001 Accord and wants nothing more than to finally beat my Mustang Lol. So I have started putting together a F23 that we can slap a turbo on and run some pretty decent boost. We have the block all built up as much as we can thanks to Bisimoto and now my Honda inexperience comes into play. I've seen a lot of things people have interchanged between engine models but nothing has really 100% answered my question so here it is. What interchangeable items will fit the f23 with little to no modification that would provide the best airflow, not including exhaust items. I've heard I can go h series intake manifold or f22 but no one really said which would provide better airflow. So any help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated for a guy who's starting to have fun building a fast honda. Thanks!
use the search method. the f23 has a pretty large plenum. the inside can be grinded down and smoothed and polished to provide more airflow. ive seen people completely grind down the beginning of the runners which i also did when i used an f23 manifold on my f22b1. ill try and find the pictures. maxbore will bore out the throttle body section of the upper intake manifold so that i larger throttle body can be installed.
dont forget to upgrade the exhaust or you will have no where for all this extra air to go
had to go to my old forum back when i had my cd7. old thread about fitting a f23 manifold onto an f22b1 but on page 3 nocture has some photos of his modified f23 manifold
