What's the gas mileage for a stock 91 CRX-Si?
Hi guys. I recently bought a 91 CRX Si because its two seat layout and spacious cargo area is absolutely perfect for delivering pizzas in. I really wanted an HF model, because I heard they are super-hella-good on gas, but it seems that clean CRX's are becoming hard to find, so when I found this nice Si I snatched it up. It's a 91, pretty clean but a little rust (not too bad) It's the nice teal green color, came with a Sony Xplode CD player and Rockford Fosgate seperates up front, 5spd, clutch feels good, engine runs smooth. All 4 tires are good and it doesn't seem to need any work. My questions to you Honda experts are these:
-I paid $2280 for it and it has 155k miles. Is that too much? (It was female driven)
-What kind of gas mileage can I expect? I would be happy with 35 mpg.
-I plan on ditching the pass. seat and rest of interior to make more room for pizza, is that a substantial weight savings?
Thanks in advance for the help. All responses and comments are appreciated.

What's a ZC???? And I do plan to put in new plugs cause they look tired but the wires look okay. So did I pay too much ($2280) for a car with 155k miles? My mom says 155k is too much. I say it's a Honda and will probably give me another 100k. What's everyone think about that?
A ZC is the JDM Dual cam CRX motor (NOT THE B16!). Its 130hp, its basically a dual cam D16. Anyways, that price is good i guess, as long as the body is in good shape and its an Si. I got my CRX 132K miles for 2 grand, no dents, just a few minor dings and tiny bits of rust here n there. My friends motor blew at 175K when he threw a rod, but thats cuz of bad driving habits i.e. racing all the time n downshifting when he stops at EVERY LIGHT! as for my gas milege, i havent calculated it out but on a full tank of gas i get a little over 300 miles
my 89 si averaged 32-35 with a little interstate driving. with absolutely no interstate driving i did get as good as 37 mpg.
personally, i think for a good 91 si that you paid a good price. according to http://www.kbb.com they retail for $4300.
how many pizzas do you deliver at one time?

For a clean 91 that price sounds right. Doing 80-85 on the highway I'm seeing almost 36mpg

To the guy who asked how many pizzas I deliver at one time: A LOT!!!! I work 40-50 hours a week delivering pizzas and sanwiches and stuff. Sometimes there is literally not enough room in my old 86 'Lude Si to fit all of the food. That's why I bought the CRX. (That and the fact that the Lude is just about dead.) So, yeah, I need all the spare room I can get.
Back when CRX's were still being sold in the US, they said the Si model averaged 29 mpg in the city, and 33 on the highway. With my Si motor (172k miles) I usually got around 32 mpg (mixed, city/hwy).
155k for $2,200? That's a pretty good deal dude - I payed 300 more than u, and my car had/has a crappy looking body.
Your motor (if taken care of properly) will last at LEAST 100k more miles. But you should be able to hit the 300k mark before rebuilding the motor!
Have fun.

Yeah dude, you got a deal...I paid $2350 for mine w/ about 170k on the clock, no AC or heat...which I didn't notice till later, of course...and no stereo. And **** if I'm not happy with it! Gets better gas mileage than my 99 Civic DX...the CRX gets about 30-35 depending on conditions.

Good, I'm glad everyone seems to think I got a fair deal. I was just wonderin' cause my mom's bitchin about the mileage. But I thought that 155k will at least get me another 2 years out of this motor (I avg 40k a year pizza miles) and the body is pretty damn shiney, Plus the Rockford speakers and a Sony CD player-- ya can't beat that! Good, I feel better I'll now tell my mom to shut the hell up. I dunno why she makes such a big deal out of it -it wasn't her hard earned money anyway. It's mine- she needs to shut her pie hole.

ROFL - haha nice.
You guys are retarded. My car didn't come with AC either, but I don't care cuz it's lighter. But still, I'd rather have a '91 Si because it's lighter than my POS '90.
