Clutch Cable?
Can someone help with this?
I replaced a clutch over the weekend and it was driving fine, however today when I pushed the clutch, I heard a loud pop and the pedal sank to the floor. I think it may be a clutch cable but not sure what I 'm looking for in the dark.
The cable that conncts to the adjuster and to the tranny looks good, but I don't know where else to look for a snapped cable. I looked by the pedal assembly and I don't see a cable there, does anyone have a pic of what it should look like?

Hmm, so I stopped by the vehicle again, it looks like it didn't snap.
There was a ring that went around the clutch pedal, that ring was loose and I put it back on. However there was a lot of slack in the cable so i tightened it up while trying to start the car at different intervals. It's as tight as it goes but the car doesn't start still. However I think I overtightened it because now i cant back it off, any other suggestions?

Bump for help.
So I replaced the clutch cable today and the car still won't start. , the clutch cable stretched I think, the new one is about an inch shorter than the old one. But I don't know if it's because the cable was not the same brand. The clutch feels alot tighter. But still no luck
What I checked was:
Battery, still good at around 12.8 volts and the starter was getting roughly the same.
The starter solenoid is still plugged in and a tight connection.
Pedal assembly is still good, no side to side play and doesn't appear to have any breaks in it.
One thing that concerned me, when I putting in the cable and attaching it to the assembly that goes into the tranny, the default position, with no tension, was down.
When I push it up, there is only a little bit of tension, but I don't know if that's normal.
Any other help?
