00 Civic Si/Sir on title?
hey guys im new to this site but not new to fourms. i recently purchased a Red 00 Civic si. now heres my questions. my vin number starts with a 1 which i read on here means it was manufactured in the U.S. on my title it says Civic Si/SiR. can someone tell me if my car is a canadian SiR or what? im really confused. it also has the black leather interior package. idk if these ever came in the U.S models as ive never seen a civic with leather interior before. can someone please help with my two questions? would highly appreciate it. thanks

Here's a dumb question:
Does it say MADE BY HONDA OF AMERICA or MADE BY HONDA OF CANADA inside the Driver's side door frame, right on the same tag that has your tire inflation and vehicle weight info.

The SI in Canada would the Y8, it's basicly our EX.
Leather was installed in the US aswell, but it is very hard to come by. Not many had it.
So it's the same damn car. Nothing special about it past the interior. As for the title it doesn't make one bit of difference.
Thats why we asked if it had DRL's. US never had them, but Canada did. Also, I think they had ABS.
They also got them in diferent colors. Like VSM. bastards.
As far as Si vs SiR differences there are a few:
SiR had heated mirrors, ABS and was available in Vogue Silver Metallic, the gauge cluster will also say SiR instead of Si, and the speedo will be in KM/H with MPH on the inside.
do you have a pic of the seats?
As for the title, they don't always describe the car accurately. Like on an OKlahoma title, at least mine, the EX is no where to be found, it has some other random numbers. Tag agencies are bad about just throwing codings on titles. as for the SI/SiR they prolly just consider them the same since they are close enough, especially since they just need to identify the car

Punch your VIN into here (USA) or here (Canada). That will tell you definitively and we can end this pointless thread.
Also the heated mirrors is a dead giveaway.
