Icon2 Clutch could be bad but not sure? Any thoughts or help

ok ok im new to rsx world just bought the car and now its giving me problems and i dont know exactly what it is lol....

i thought it was the clutch going out but i really dont think it is because the car takes off just fine and i can still chirp tires with 2nd and 3rd if i wanted so if it was the clutch i dont think that would be possible right??
but anyways if your just around town low rpm driving it slips, until about a bit past 4grand... and interstate driving it slips low rpms.
the rpms with shoot up then slight back down and your really not gaining speed..

please guru's if u know or need more info on pinpointing this let me know or ask away.... besides that i love my car lol

Ok first, please tell us your car and mods. That will help.

Second I changed your thread title because yours drives me nuts and this will help with results.

Third, how does your pedal feel? Soft, firm etc? Can you smell a burning clutch smell? If you do a low RPM low gear pull does the RPM go up faster than the MPH?

02 type s and Its all stock but I put a cone filter on the end of the intake tube where the airbox goes.
Pedal feels soft but not too soft I guess and yes low rpm pulls the rpms go up faster than speed only low rpms tho

U think its cuz of taking the stock airbox off and ghetto rigging it? More
I think about it, kinda seems like a lag not slipping

I would try turning th a/c on and then from a stop take off like normal and check to see if it slips . The a/c will add a little more strain on the clutch. It could possibly be the master cylinder.

good enough for me sounds like a clutch starting to go bad. Take off the inspection plate and see how much clutch dirt is in there and take a look... but you probably wouldn't know what you're looking for...
