OEM D-series Head gasket???
y8 is the thinnest and y7 and z6 are a little thicker,z6 is about twice the thckness of the y8 but it still isnt much, maybe.010 thicker before compression
i heard people taking aparts the two outisde parts of the head gasket, making it even thinner...and still very usable....

Don't go to the dealer... They only stock one gasket for the D-series now, and it's a replacement based on the d16Z6 thickness.
Do yourself a favor and try to find a tech person from Fel-Pro or another gasket maker.

It depends on what dealership you go to......here in socal, they gave me two part numbers...one for the z6 and the other for the y8. Of course I took the y8 one and it only cost me 35 bucks.
