1/4 mile times on NX
i went to the track tonight. Heres my best run.
R/T .683
60' 2.120
330 6.078
1/8 9.384
MPH 74.15
990 12.168
1/4 14.689
MPH 91.89
My first run was a 14.7
second was the 14.6 above
third run i decided i was going to try and launch it hard. Spun tires like crazy and ran a 16.1. Was going for a 4th run when i noticed my nitrous solenoid was leaking. Probably because i had the bottle open for way too long. So now i gotta reseal that. I'm thinking with the tires i have now, which suck, i can run a 14.5. And with some good tires i can run a 14.3.
Oh, by the way. My cars a 93 accord 4 door automatic. And i was hitting 4th gear at the topend.

Do u have any engine work done to it? is NOS all you have done to your car? how many shot nitrous did u use?? i personally think that a 93 auto with only nos wont get u into the 14 second range.......just my thoughts. Good times tho.
where to start. Well I have a Nitrous Express system, jetted for 50HP at the wheels. NX bottle heater. Generic shortram intake. Dual stage intake manifold. B&M FPR, Cylinder head milled for higher compression, and portmatched to intake manifold and header. DC sports stainless 4-2-1 header.
Random Technology cat, Greddy SP catback exhaust. Aftermarket trans cooler. And i think thats about it.

You got a 2.1 60' and you are complaining about crappy tires? What kind of tires do you have? A 2.1 is a very good time on street tires for a Honda turning 14.5 1/4 times, ESPECIALLY with an auto!
What is your compression ratio now after the milling?
What is your total HP to the wheels if you got 50whp from your NX kit?
What aftermarket intake manifold is a dual stage?
Nick- who is planning some nitrous for his hybrid
well, I know a few answers. first the dual intake manifold is on the ex (f22a6) for 90-93. not sure if 5th gens have that. yea 2.1 is pretty damn good, not sure why hes complaining about that. lastly I dont actually think he had his car on a dyno, but nx rates their kits at the wheels, while most companies its at the crank.

On the first 2 runs, i brought up the stall to about 2200rpm, then at the right time i let go of the brake and only push the gas halfway down, until i start rolling, then floored it. On my really bad run, i brought the stall up to about 2500rpm, and at the right time i let go of the brake and floored it. Wheelspin city.
To tell you the truth, the i'm not even sure the tires. I think theres 3 or 4 different cheapo tires on it.
Compression ratio???. A friend did it at a machine shop i used to work at. He told me it will be less then 10.2:1, but i'm not even sure how much he milled off to do the formula.
I have no clue how much HP i make at the wheels.
The dual stage intake manifod can be found on 92-93 accord EX and SE models, H23's, and H22's. They all use the same identical flapper device(i crossrefferenced #'s), and all the tops halfs of the intake manifolds on these engines are interchangeable. I am thinking of getting an H22 upper on mine soon.
Oh, and the NX kit is theyre basic import kit. I know the part # ends with .....23. Yet it comes with some HUGE solenoids, good to something like a 500shot. The kit comes with a chart for numerous many popluar import cars, and numerous jets. Different car companies may require different jets to achive the same HP at the ground. On the chart, a lot of cars can only be jetted for 35, or 50hp. The 90-97 accords can be jetted for 75 hp(so the chart says). I dont know if my tranny can take it though??? From what i'm told, accord automatics can take about 240hp, before you start having problems. I guess, now that my car runs 14's, i can spend my money finishing off my bodywork, for now atleast.
