Default Hybrid racing short shift

Anybody have experience with this? Good or bad? I sat in a civic that had it and it was unbelievably like the s2000 in feel. Unfortunately the owner has not driven it yet. Here is the link

usually not a fan of "short shifters" but that seems like a reasonable option for people running K's. Looks well designed and well made. I would be worried about gravel and debris hitting the bottom side and the cables, wearing off the plastic down to the cable.

i have one and i like way better than the plastic stock shifters (sloppy), though the shift feeling doesn't compare to my last shift linkage. But overall its well built and the shifting feels good

would love to give this a try next

we ran a car this past weekend at Sebring that has a Hybrid Racing one and I have buddies that have them in their drag car

it isn't bad -- but the K-Tuned one is a lot nicer - that one just hit the market and my initial impressions of it is how much smoother the shifting is, doesn't feel nearly as notchy

so is it worth upgrading from the hybrid shifter to the k tuned?

i don't want to say 100% yes yet, the only feel i have for the K-Tuned shifter is on a display stand at PRI (hooked up to a transmission and all)

but we are getting one here shortly to swap into a car to have a real before and after comparison to the Hybrid one so at that point in time i can give some more feedback.

No experience with this piece, but I do want to point out that short shifters are the quick way to the big money shift.......

Why? After driving the s2000 for 2 years I find the shifter in my civic with RSX shifter very sloppy and vague. The downshifting gets unnerving sometimes in this car. I think I am more after a very positive shift gate than length. This has it.

ill tell you one thing..the hybrid shifter is a big upgrade from the rsx one...shifting feels much better i downshift with no worries and you get a more positive shift. if i were you i would definetly upgrade. there aren't much reviews on the k tuned unit but the few there are, are saying its better than the hybrid

The Hybrid box is 100% awesome. It is also adjustable, you can have it at 'stock type s' height and you can lower down to what ever you feel comfortable with.

As far as short shifters it's a little different in cable actuated cars like a K series than a b series with rods.
