Default Autolok???

Does anyone here have the Autolok device that goes over your e-brake and connects to your shifter? I was wondering what happens if you unscrew the shift ****. Can you just take the Autolok off if the shift **** is removed? I'm looking into getting one and would appreciate anyone that could help me out with this question.

That thing looks pathetic....why couldnt they just slip off the shift **** and drive away? or just brake off the e-brake??

But then again its all about having layered protection so if its just one more layer then thats good but dont belived that this alone will stop a punk @ss thieve

No that wouldnt work, like you said all you have to do is remove the shift **** then pull that club thing off, then away your car goes. Its a waste of $55.

while we're on the subject of locks, here's one i'm going to get. remember, anything you put inside the car is pointless if they can tow your car away. this should be tow proof.

here's the site: http://www.utilityaz.com/wheel_lock.htm

i called them and they cost $125. they'll fit around most or all rims.

that wheel lock is stupid... its screams... STEAL ME, all you gotta do is take of the rim, and if they wanna drive it away all they gotta do is put on the spare... and i dont think you could just slide off the shift ****, it looks pretty tight on it... and if someone wants your car they will take it...no matter what u put on it..

That wheel lock device would work well with wheel locks
Yes, If they want it bad enough they will get it somehow
These are all just deterents
Thieves probably won't bother with your car if you have alot of anti-theft devices
Especially if it takes them a while to get them off
It's just not worth the time, effort, and risk

the rim lock thing does look like a good idea, kinda troublesome for daily drivers tho, maybe if u select where u put it on, not every 5 minute trip

there is a lock that bolts or gets welded to the frame and it wraps around the shifter... anyone know it?
