Default HX Owners or friends of HX owners HELP!!! URGENT

K I got a 96 HX and the AUTO transmission is F*cked up. I do not want to replace it with that stupid CVT (constant velocity tranny)auto tranny. Will a 96-00 EX Auto tranny bolt on with out any mods??? If you know help me out. I am about to buy a EX tranny but don't wanna waste money if it doesn't work. Thanks for those who respond.

d-series motors will accept any d-series tranny... the difference could lie also within the ecu as shift points are required for stock EX while CVT uses a different technique...so a auto ecu will be required. also possibly the axles can be different. but yes it will bolt up to the motor and most likly its very easy to get it working

Can you rip apart the CVT tranny. I'm really curious to what it looks like. No gears...man how exciting.. I bet it's one big rubber band.
