I am going to get a 60-65 shot of nitrous. First of all what are the differences between wet shot and dry shot? What is direct port?? And most importantly is this going to be safe for my motor (see mods below). Some people say ure gonna blow it and others say its safe. What kind of kit do you reccomend for me to be the safest (wet or dry)? thanx in advance
yeah, really. screw spending money on legitimate power parts that are reliable. i was going to tell you not to spray the motor, but then i saw that you have the shogun intake, so go for it!!! haha. bottles are for babies.
Here we go, Nitrous 101:
Wet Nitrous-You spray both N2o AND FUEL in to either your intake/TB/direct port. Safer if you need extra fuel for blown cars. Taps in to your fuel line and shoots extra fuel in. NOS/Edelbroch(sp?)/NX makes these kits
Dry Nitrous-You spray just N2o. Directly in to the intake usually. Zex/NOS (Also, I believe), and I think maybe NX makes these kits.
Direct port is shooting it right in to the intake mani. Between the TB/Intake Manifold and directly in to the ports.
Without any other fuel upgrades, I would stay stick w/ the 55 shot. I will easily take 3/4 to a second off, and you will feel it. Get an upgraded fuelp and FPR, bump the fuel pressure up a little bit, and graduate to 65shot. Stick with the dry for now, no need for wet; and I recommend Zex
. I used it on my otherwise stock B16 when I had it, and it worked like a charm. New Mustang GT's got a surprise when I suddenly went from being on their rear 1/4 to them being on mine...
