Default Oil cooler on LS block?

Does the LS block have the port for an ITR oil cooler? I know you can use the cooler on a GSR block, but I dont want to purchase one and it not work on my LS.

And is so, what other parts do i need to get it compatible with my motor?

thanks.

You don't even need it. I think it's a waste of money.

i disagree. for a street car yes youre correct theyre a waste of time and money...now on an auto-x car thats an entirely different story when an engine spends minutes upon minutes at or near redline keeping the engine cool is priority 1.

ls motors do not have the port for the oil cooler. you can drill and tap the hole if you want. i wouldn't do it myself but that is an option. i would probably just go for an aftermarket setup.

The oem oil coolers are a joke for anything outside of street driving. If you want an oil cooler, which isn't really necessary for a street car, you will have to get a cooler, sandwich plate, lines and fittings. I just put one on a road course only crx with a semi-built b20vtec because the oil temps were pegging on a 260 degree gauge. I opted for -10an lines and fittings. The cooler I went with was this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fluidyne-The...item51930329d2 but I got it with -10 fittings as opposed to the -12 fittings it comes with.
