Default What octane to run

Building a b16a all motor engine.
with compression ratio of 12.5.
Wondering what octane people have used to run with this compression.
I was thinking of 102 octane i can get up to 116 octane
Thanks

Octane doesn't make power it just prevents detonation. If you can tune the car and get good power without pinging or removing too much ignition advance then just run the 93 octane. It should be fine for 12.5 CR

You can go to your local air port and get sum mav gas for about $3.60 a gallon
109 Octane or more your motor will ping if you run to low

I'd go with E85 if you can get it in your area.

Can't get E85 in my area but can get 108 or 116 octane no bothers.
The higher octane fuel will be used for track events with a sperate tank fuel and map for daily use.

Don't mean it in a ingnorat way but i want the max power.
ANd should be fine would do for on the road but on the track i'd want max power.
I just don't want to go over kill and waste to much octane that i don;t need to run.
As in pump in 116 octane but max power is made at 102 ocatne and just wasting money( just an explain say)
