My threaded holes on my d16z6 head are stripped so I need to buy a new head. Which heads can fit the d16z6?

I believe Marc was just stating the obvious -- Z6 head on Z6 block = plug and play.

 

Let me rephrase. Is there any reason you aren't looking for a Z6 head specifically?

 

I once had a DX with a z6 block mated to the original B7 head. I swear to god it got 45+mpg.

Z6 or Y8 will work. You'd need to either run the z6 cam or a Y8 cam with an adjustable cam gear and move it 4.5* since they earlier motors and later motors differed in their cam design or something.

"Stopped"? As in bolts broken off in them? If that's the case why not have them drilled out and re-tapped?

 

one bolt broke off then drilled (which tore the screw hole apart) and the others are stripped from the previous owner tightening them too much. i think this is also the cause of my oil pressure problem but not totally sure....

 

the PO8 head is what you need for the d16z6 motor you can also go to andys autosport and upgrade if thats the way you want to go .... and have the $ lol
