Default about my rod bearing clearances

I have an ls/vtec turbo.

My engine is built last year but I'm using the car with very low boost levels for about 3000 miles. I just gathered the parts like bosch 1000cc injectors and etc.

My oil pressure at idle (900 rpm) is around 7-8 psi. My oil pump was brand new GSR pump when the engine was built. My oil is 5-40 fully synth Castrol.
The pressure around 3000 rpm is more than 40 psi.

My rod bearings are ACL Race bearings in std size.

I revved up to 8000 rpms many times, the engine is (I think) noisier than normal - but there are no problems until now.

Can my rod bearing clearances are more than it should be according to my low oil pressure at idle ? From what can I understand if the rod clearances are more than normal ?

If they are : what are the side effects ?

Maybe the cylinder head oil restrictor or the internal plug in the head was left out. I left the plug out before once and oil pressure was about what you have now.

Did you check the clearances when building the block or did you just toss in acl's and go ?

Im curious, which plugs/restrictor are you talking about? I cant think of where those would go for some reason

In the center of the 5 cam caps there is an oring and a couple in the end cap by the vtec solenoid, many forget to reinstall. maybe they are talking about those. If you are missing any of these your cam journals will not have enough oil and start galling.

If the rod bearing clearances are too loose you will loose pressure and likely have a rod knock most of the time, and a failure not too long afterwards. If it isnt knocking and you have low psi, there could be a few different things causing that as well.

Under the #5 intake cam cap, there's a 1/8" BSPT brass plug. I took all of them out when I had the head cleaned: 3 x 1/8" BSPT + 1 x 3/8" BSPT, but I forgot to replace the one under the cam cap.

(IN VTEC)Ben did you send out that Aeromotive FPR yet or what? You haven't returned any of my messages and I am just wondering what the deal is. If you haven't got around to shipping it no big deal but let me know rather than not hearing from you. Otherwise I will be filing a claim through paypal to get my money back.
