A retarted machanic screwed up my h23-auto in my 92 4ws when he was tring to change the timing belt (at 80,000). Anyway, long story short... I new a new engine, but im low on funds. I know in japan you could get an h22a auto and the h23 auto bolts up to an h22a engine (or im told). I CAN NOT afford to do a manual swap right now, so im forced to do an h22a engine with the stock h23a auto tranny.

Now the problem.... is the ecu? Where the hell can I get an auto h22a ecu from? Could you get auto in the 5th gen's, or just SS?

probably best to look at import/honda parts wreckers for front cuts.. look for a jap spec 92/93/94 model, I believe thise have the older OBD1 ECU (correct me if Im wrong anyone). obviously the front ut has to be auto h22a and be one of the earlier models.. 95/96 has the OBD2 ecu again correct me if Im wrong

 

Isnt there a speed limiter on the jdm ecu's?

Could you get auto (non-ss) in the 5th gens? Because you can convert obdII ecu's to odbI easly, right?

 

just find a jdm auto p13 ecu...shouldn't be hard to find

 

any ideas on where to start looking?
