h22 crank in a h23 block
i found a good deal on a h23 and a tranny. i heard somewhere that its a good idea to swap in a h22 crank? if it is a good idea what will work? i can get any info on the block if needed. thanks yall
Just wondering where you heard that?
Sure it can be done. Is it a good idea, if your asking me for my opinion, I say absolutely not. However, I guess it comes down to what you are looking to get out of it.
Budget? Goals? What is the engines intended use?

i was told that would work to. the reason they gave me for wanting to do the crank change was that the H23 crank is cast and the H22 crank is forged and could handle more rpm
All honda cranks are forged or at least they should they are the strongest stock they are tough the only thing that messes them up is the bearings when spun. H23 crank is the same crank as f22a1/a4/a6/b1/b2/b and they are forged.
