Need opinions of what engine to put in my 95 Prelude.
Timing belt broke on my lude. I've decided to put a new engine in instead of rebuilding the head.
I had and H23A and I'm leaning on putting the H22A in and going VTEC wit it. I'm in So Cal.
What are your various opinions on what engine I should put in?
Holler.

You should really look into dropping a C32B in that thing. Or maybe a K24/K20 hybrid.
How much do you want to spend? Who's doing all the work and how capable are they?

I like the J35 idea the most. But I believe that is the inline 5 that is half of their F1 engine in the 90's right? How much work would that take?
Would I need motor mounts?
Would I need to install an automatic transmission?
I do like the manual tranny I have in there now.
I appreciate your feedback.

Haha guess I should have looked it up before I wrote that. Do you know what engine I'm referring to? What's the engine ID for that?
The G25A is the Honda inline 5. However, I'm not so sure that it has anything to do with the F1 engine. It was found in the early 90's Acura Vigor IIRC.
That is the true G series Honda/Acura engine. No such thing as a G22 or G23.
