Default H23 vtec swap in 2000 accord from F23

I just read someone else thread post and in it a person replied back
gas mileage would be worse than F23 where I get 32 mpg is this correct
and how would it still a 4L 2.3 just more hp and torque

if I drove it the same as F23 wouldn't be around the same

yes, If all you do is cruise the highway with a long geared trans. You will see 28-30 MPG on a healthy H23A VTEC. However, if you enjoy driving and actually make use of the VTEC. It won't be quite as fuel friendly.

Doing both with an H23A VTEC & trans you would probably average around 25-26mpg. Depending on the health of the engine of course. The transmission you use is key as well.

Those projections are with using the longer geared trans. I just assumed that you would be keeping the longer geared F23 trans.

I hear ya. I hate it when life gets in the way of my hobby!

I'm shooting for ether a Non VTEC H23A trans or a hybrid F22/H23.

Before you make another thread asking which type of gasoline you need to use in your H23 in a 2000 accord, its 91-93 octane.
