H23 vtec swap in 2000 accord from F23
what is the right way in swapping an H23 vtec in accord?
I just read a thread back in 2003 saying people have had broken cranks, spun bearings, and popped timing belts

Swapping it doesnt break the crank, bearings, or timing belts. Driving and Revving the engine like a B series or H22 is what kills them.

With the hills you might like the added benefit of the lower end torque with the h23 vtec. Both engines put out about the same torque but your going to hit the powerband much.lower with the h23a. All just depends on what you want. I bought the h23a for the increased displacement and torque from it. Hp wise is exactly the same as a h22a4
