Default Building B16 Head...Need Advice

Im rebuilding my b16 head with all new superech valvetrain and was wondering should i get dome or flat faced valves. I know they bump up compression and my future plans are type r cams and boost for about 300whp. b18c block 400+ in its far future, but i want to build the head since im fixing leaky valve seals. also with the springs they come in 70 or 85 for spring pressure. what tension should i get? also is it worth it to port and polish or get a valve job done?

Id stick with dome valves...thats just me. CTR and ITR are good cams to use although not the highest lift id still go with 85lbs spring pressure, more pressure = less chance of valve float. and yes is is worth it to get a port and polish, just be careful who you let do it, same with a valve job. although a valve job shouldnt be needed. Unless you like changing retainers frequently id also get those in a steel alloy rather than titanium...just a thought.

if they aren't snap fit they tend to wear pretty fast.

get a valvejob and pandp it. no point in building a head without improving airflow since thats the main point. speically when you wanna turbo it later on. airflow is key.

shouldn't cost more then like 4-500 for both.

port and polish is unnecessary if you are gonna go boost, esp since your real limiting factor would always be the turbo anyway. plenty of hondas doing 700+ on stock port heads.

i would have them check the valve guides, they all seem to be out of spec on higher mileage hondas.

more breathing up top is the way to go - though its nor NECESSARY, its still advisable.

I disagree with that. It always helps to flow more air. I got a buddy who works at a machine shop, he ported a head on a turbo s2k, it made 30whp MORE at 3psi less boost on the exact same setup. It's all about how efficient air can flow!
