Default Adjuster Problem h22a4

i've changed the oil pump to a OBD2, putting everything back together, for some reason my adjuster wont press down, why is that?

did you take the bolt off the bottom and turn the set screw inside the body then use a clamp to hold it in place... There have an holder you can get from honda that is the best... I used a few zipties and some skill to hold mine...

Get the KAIZENSPEED’s new tensioner its cheaper then the honda one... but you can switch to the H23 one but theres a little work for that way.. Just get the KAIZENSPEED’s one it just bolts on and you adjust and roll out.. I wouldnt re use the OEM one they tend to fail.

You dont compress with a c clamp you can actually damage it... You have to remove the the bolt on the bottom (dont tip it over, theres oil in it) and use the screw driver to turn the set screw

If you've taken a c-clamp to it then you might have already ruined it, read the book.

Just order the one I stated above and not have to worry about it failing... I wouldnt put a used hydro adjuster on anytime.

My understanding over the years with these tensioners is that they are not meant to handle anymore abuse than a stock output. Plus everyone says they baby their motors when you know that isn't true.
