Ive got a 91 hatch and I picked up some corners off of another 91 hatch but the set I picked up attach differently. The ones that were on mine didnt need to be screwed in the ones I picked up do. And they attach to the headlight housing differently. Anybody know why?
you would have to drill and trim and all that bs.
just order a set off ebay for a 90-91 hatch and be done with it.
90-91 has to slip mount tabs on the back and a bracket that you attach to inside the headlight bracket.
88-89 have to screws on the outside of the corner lense and 88-89 are a bit more squared at the top

reading the original post makes me think, like the others that you got 88-91 corners, but I want to clarify. The ones you bought, did they screw in from the outside?
The new ones screw and mount to the headlights, do your headlights have the provisions for that?
Post pics of both if you don't mind.

^^those are 88-89 and WILL NOT fit on a 90-91.
i'd be willing to bet these are the style you got.
THESE are for a 90-91...you can note the difference

remove the corners and on the fenders of the 90-91 are little tiny clips that the 90-91 corners slide into , since you have the 88-89 corners just go to the junk yard find a 88-89 remover there corners and pop the little clips out those are the clips you need to screw your 88-89 corners onto your 90-91 fenders and headlights dnt worry about the 1 screw corners are light and the 2 screws that go into the 88-89 corners hold the corners onto the bumper noway they are falling off. hope this helps, Note: you have to pull the clips off from behind the fenders.

Same goes for if your 90-91 hatch fenders, and you go to the junkyard and only find 88-89 fenders just use your 90-91 clips that hold the corners in vice versa. clips behind the corners are the only difference. and how the corners mount.. Hope this helps and i know everyway works , i did it all. so dnt let any1 tell you diff i have pics.

WRONG. the shape is wrong and the corners will not fit properly into the fenders
Lmao ok. Listen to him. Just switch out clips ull be fine everything else is self explanatory. Use your head. Trim what u have to on the inner part if u have to.
now with the corner lights. in order to make 88-89 fit on 90-91 there are a few things you will need to do, in order to do this the correct way.
1. you will need 88-89 headlights brackets.
2. fender clips from any 88-89 civic/crx for the corner lights to clip into.
3. install
