Default wheres is the egr valve?

d16y7 engine automatic 2000 honda civic lx. Cars runs weird at startup till it warms up. The check engine light popped on so i read it and says misfires in cyclinder 2 and 3 and possible fixes where dizzy cap witch i replaced like months ago and egr valve but i can find the egr valve to clean. Where is it located?

There is no EGR valve on this model(at least we don't have it in Canada).did you replaced only the cap?

What code(s) does it throw and how do you know the distributor cap and/or EGR valve would cause the code(s)?

a blown headgasket can cause this? codes where p0300 p0302 and p0303 if i recall correctly. The plugs wires dizzy cap and rotor where replaced 3-4 months ago and i checked the cap and rotor there was nothing wrong there.I just flushed the coolant last week and it was green with no oil in it.

Those are misfire codes for cylinders 2 and 3. P0300 is just a random misfire.

it smokes alittle but it burns oil alittle and the smoke is very little and doesnt smell like anything like coolant im gonna have to get a compression check because it did this for 2 days and it went away now so im alittle confused on what it can really be and if its the head gasket its a very small leak.

If it's intermittent it's not a head gasket.Check the IAC valve (it could be getting stuck intermittently)and clean the throttle body.
