Default 2000 civic starts clicking then dies

My brother was driving his civic on highway and started here a cclicking noise. Like when u try and start the car but it wont. It died on him and wouldnt start back up. Lights turn and radio turn on but radio turns off now when he tries to start.

Im thinking battery or relay, but im in colorado and hes in arizona so i cant get my hands on it to test

the radio is sopose to turn off when you try to start the car everything actually dims tell him to take the battery to an autozone and get it tested cause thats what it would be but its weird for the battery to die while driving because the alternator is charging it even if its a bad battery could be the alternator as well

the car isn't suppose to cut off while driving even if the battery is dead once its started unless you use some aux power systems like lights, radio that draws a gd bit of power, and ac/heater. it battery is new or not old but dead and died during driving cld be the alternator.
