I recently tried to sell my honda but the automatic trans in it really turns people off. I was wondering what would it take to swap in a manual transmission. I have a d15b2 engine, and the normal automatic trans?

1990 Honda CIvic DX hatchback.


How hard is it?
What trans will I need?

if you think selling the auto car is hard, you should try swapping it to manual. it really isn't worth your time unless there is something really special about the car.. like if the chassis has like 10k miles and was garaged the whole time or something.

There are several links in the FAQ about it at the top of the EF forum. You can start your research there. I would never do it, and i have been into Ef's for a really long time.

 

I have 2 identical honda civics except one has been rolled, the rolled one has a really nice motor and a manual transmission, the other is an automatic. since i have all the parts here would a motor and tranny swap really be that bad? I want to put the motor and manual in the one with an automatic.
