SMOKING TURBO HELP!
i got a turbo civic hatch and i just recently it started to have white smoke coming from the turbine. i can see wet spots around it. Also my cooling fan doesn't turn on anymore and my radiator overflow tank was boiling a couple days ago. i begin to think its a blown head gasket.. Im not sure. Please let me know.
Let me make this clear to everyone that responds... ok this guy got this car for free
he doesn't know anything about the car
doesnt know what turbo he's running
doesnt know if its tuned
doesnt even think to check a blown headgasket

drove 3 hours with it back to my house and it ran fine, i think i blew it myself after running it hard after i got it, but if so. easy fix

if the fans dont turn on anymore check the wiring. they should still turn on regardless. that may explain the boiling of the coolant. however if you drove the car with the coolant boiling then chances are you blew the head gasket, but since its an "easy fix" as you said i guess you knew you should run a compression test to check the gasket right?

I'd check the cooling fan fuse first. If that's ok, along with the wiring, the motor may have taken a dump. If it only ran hot for a short time at idle, the head gasket is probably fine. You can pull the ecu cover to see if it's chipped. Under no circumstances should you be boosting on a motor that's not properly tuned!
its a jdm sport t3/t4 setup

JDM SPort turbo wow a egay **** turbo
you dont know how to check if its tuned how about check the ecu
you run the crap out of a car that you know nothing about GOOD JOB
you think the head gasket would be the only thing to go if you blew your motor after forcing a sh*t ton of air into the cylinders with that turbo and no fuel because im betting my money on the car is not tuned
the car is half assed i can see this already just from your posts
i would of taken that car for free and parted it out cause its a POS and when you blow it completely because u dont even know what you are dealing with i will be willing to buy parts from you

JDM Sport turbo kits=crap. I would check o make sure you dont still have stock injectors, if it does then it wont have a tune on it. Never heard of a sst chip, Hondata or Neptune all the way. Driving a boosted Honda without know anything about the setup is really dumb. I would check out the motor make sure you did not damage something else. Sell the Egay turbo kit and start over again. And get a real dyno tune for the love of Honda.
Good chance it is a base map. I got one from Phearable before going Neptune and it was on an SST chip. SST should be just the brand of the chip though. No way to know for sure what map is on the chip unless you read it with software.
Take the advice though and do it right. If your car is running hot, then there's a decent chance that the head is warped also causing a slight leak of coolant.
