I bought a 91 crx si with a b18b1 bottom end and a b16a head. Guy had a hole cut out in the hood and it was the middle of winter. Brought it home and found water in my oil. (milky oil). Did a oil change. Use sea foam. And it ran just fine. But the guy could have blown a headgasket and then sold you the motor. I would drain the oil and inspect the oil pan. You might just get lucky.

I agree with everyone else. You could just go ahead and rebuild it. But if your tight on funds I would just change the oil. Swap it in. And wish for the best. Good luck to ya.
Lol yea I'm kinda tight on funds I think I'm just gonna wait n rebuild it this way I will know forsure that this thing works
Change the oil and flush it then run it and inspect it after a little bit. Check the thermostat to see if it was over heated. You should be ok.
Water in a motor that sits isn't exactly uncommon. It's called condensation, it happens everywhere. Also, a blown headgasket isn't the end of the world and usually doesn't make the oil milky unless it's really bad. Milky oil is also a sign of condensation from a motor that sat for a while. Just change the oil...
Yeah. I would pop the head off. Throw a new headgasket on it and change the oil. Then drop it in. If something isnt right, take it out and rebuild.
i would forgo doing the headgasket at the moment. usually when headgaskets blow, it will warp the head or block, so you'll be out another 50 bucks for no reason when it blows again.
If you are tight on funds then do the easiest and cheapest things first, change the oil when you install the engine and see what problems if any you find then.
You bought the engine now so try it and see what it is like.
Good luck.
