95 civic ex help ASAP!!
My 95 civic ex is rev limiting at 3k on the nose. It's popping cel code#4 which is the crank position sensor. I need some advice on how to fix and save money! Please educate my noob self
No but upon retrieving the cel code I noticed that the wires leading my jumper harness behind the glovebox match up with the ek's rather eg. Idk I'm lost on what was going on with my car prior to me owning it
Maybe you better list off everything that you know about the car. Including engine, ECU, etc.

Yeah also note if it's got a conversion harness or if it's using the stock wiring harness. You said jumper harness which sounds like conversion harness. If that's the case my bet is the harness has a faulty connection, which you can fix, but it will take time to hunt down the correct leads and re-solder them
cam/crank codes might pop up and they could be the opposite sensor. the ecu will just compare the two cam/crank and throw whatever code it wants cam or crank if they dont match up correctly. just be aware that it could be either one.

Everything is stock except for the dc headers and o2extender from pwjdm also a dynomax exhaust. 5sp 200+on the odo around a buck20 on the engine I was told had been rebuilt. Second dizzy wasn't Honda but met oem specs. Also a hefty gas smell comes off the car from time to time. I haven't been able to figure out the cause of that yet
