EP3 Seats into EG ?????
Recently got back into the Honda game. Just picked up a nice '95 White Civic Si.
Also purchased a clean pair of EP3 Seats. My question is, has anyone been able to get these to fit on an EG with O.E. brackets? I have read through some stuff online and seen some crazy mods done like drilling holes on the flor pan and welding brackets together. But in most results the seat sits too high or looks ghetto rigged, and most importantly unsafe.
this weekend I will attempt to remove all the upholstery cushions from both seats (I figure ill start with just passenger seats so if i mess something up, ill at least be able to drive the car on Monday) and transfer the EP3 cushions/upholstery to the EG frame. I know that the headrest or back rest will need to be modified somehow because they are different. But ill see if maybe I can cut something or weld something on the backrest portion to get it to work.
Ill do my best to provide a nice write up on the process.
Has anyone come across a better way to do this conversion? Any comments would be helpful. Ill try and post up late night tonight some pics of progress.
Thanks.

good luck! ive put rsx seats into a dc2 and that was a bitch. and that was just the passenger side. either cut the existing bracket on the ep seats and make custom brackets or cut the rails off the ep seats and eg and weld.. heres a link https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/%5Bfaq%5D-diy-rsx-front-rear-seats-into-96-00-coupe-1167520/

Thank you. Well Day 1 of Project EP3 Seats:
I managed to get all upholstery off the frames. It actually was easier than i expected. I have worked mostly on bolt ons in the past. Never really any custom stuff. Tomorrow morning I'm taking the frames to a buddies shop so he can modify (remove the top bracket on EP3 frame) and weld it to my original EG Seat frame. I actually believe it will work great. So far I have logged 2 hours into the project on one seat. (The next seat will be a lot faster because of not having to pause every move to take pics and trying to figure it all out of course)
I have to share photos via PhotoBucket because i can't attach images till i become a full member. my apologies.

Thank you,
UPDATE:
I took the seat frames to my buddy today. The seat on the left is the EP3 frame. He was able to grind off the top brackets (they were spot welded and he was able o get them off fairly easy) and will weld them onto the top of the EG frame. (he also removed the top bracket for the original headrest).
He says everything should transfer over easily. More or less its coming together. As soon as I get them ill update with some pics.
I though about cutting the brackets and welding the O.E. ones but I didn't want th EP3 seats to sit away. Wanted to keep the O.E. fitment. We'll see how it turns out.

I'm surprised you didn't just get new rails. I have Wedge rails on my EP3 seats in my EG. That way I didn't have to modify the seats.
But this looks like it will work.
