I bought my '99 Prelude from a private owner over three years ago and the interior fan has only worked on high. The previous owner didnt know why and I wasnt worried about having it work proper, till now. I did some research and I have been told that it could be part of the Fan relay switch under the hood or a wiring issue behind the switch controls. Does anyone know of where I can find the answer or can tell me what the hell is going on??? Thanks!

 

It should be the cluster that controls the interior fan. if it doesnt wotk at low but only high the low side of the switch is out.

 

Blower motor resistor, common in Honda's.

 

...and where would this blower motor resistor located at so I can replace it? Any idea of how much it would cost to replace? Thanks for your input!

 

Go to spoonertuner.com and grab the manual, page 22-4 shows where it is and says what page to go to test it. Then go to majestichonda.com and look up the price.

 

Thank you for your help. Should be an easy fix. I just need to make time on my day off this weekend to fix it. No more than $30.

 

Oh and in case everyone else was wondering...The blower motor resistor is located behind the glove box in the dashboard.

 

You should still go through the troubleshooting flowchart to be 100% certain.
