Default Radaitor fan switch?

On my 5g prelude the fans don't come until the car is turned off. Even if the motor gets hot. I was wondering it any of you guys have a fan switch and/or another solution to the problem? thanks for the help.

take this with a grain salt - because i know more about the 4th gen variant - then your 5th gen... but the usdm h22s in 4th gens had an ect switch A and B, the B switch can activate the fan after the car has been shut off - the A switch cannot. I'm not sure if the B switch can also activate the fan when the car is running or not - but it would make sense that it could. In any case - one of the switches (A) is in your thermostat housing, the other is in the upper rad hose outlet (B). with your car running, and switch A unplugged - try shorting it with a paperclip and see if your fan goes on. if it does - your switch A might have probs (as in a open - because all it really is, is a resistor that becomes more conductive as the heat intensifys - when your car gets hot, enough juice passes thru the switch to activate the relay to run the fan), buy a new one at honda.

swapped jdm h22a's only come with a switch A... the upper rad hose outlet is blanked and has no switch B. (info for incase you run a swap). which reminds me i still have to pick up a b switch - because i want one (;
