all b and d series throttle bodies and if you have the z6 then you can put a y8 intake mani on it and would be a little better do to the y8 having shorter/fatter runners I do believe someone correct me if I am wrong. But you won't really get the full benefit from swapping these parts unless you have everything port matched and so on.

that would be correct...opt for an LS TB- cheaper and GSR TB will require some fitment issues. Or a B16 TB. And yes, get a Y8 intake manifold. Do some head work with a thinner head gasket, and you'll see some good improvements over stock!

I have a 2001 Civic EX, also SOHC. The new civics have plastic intake manifolds anyway, I want to nos my engine, but I need to replace my intake manifold b/c I know that this guy blew his cheap plastic intake manifold. Can I also replace it with any D or B series manifold?

I haven't had my hands on the D17's yet. Judging honda though, the older D series Intake Manifolds should fit right on.

BTW, B series manifolds don't fit on the D series engines just the trottle bodies.

Will the inverted throttle body be a factor when replacing the intake manifold?
