Quick spark plug question ...
One of my friends had her spark plugs changed in her D17A1 powered Honda Civic. She drove it fine for a week. Today her car wouldn't start. I went over there and removed one. The NGK part number was for a B16A2. It was also pretty soaked in oil.
Can we just buy proper plugs and fire it up?
What long term damage has taken place?

Im with tube seals.. Or the plugs werent screwed down all the way.
you can pull the valve cover and swap out the gaskets. Gasket sets run 20 bucks. while ur there, look up the proper plugs for ur engine.

Thanks for the input!
This morning we put the proper spark plugs in, and it fired right up and runs as it should. The plugs didn't have any oil on them, it was just black carbon deposits. Since the incorrect ones weren't in for very long, there doesn't appear to be any long term consequence.
