Default limited slip differentials

alright, been tryna do homework on them but cannot find much about them on the 8th. ive found 3 companies that seem to have a good product. the first is the quaife helical. the second is the wavetrac lsd. the third, made by mfactory can either be purchased as a helical lsd or plate lsd.

im trying to figure wich would be better for a boosted k20z3 that will be netting ~400-450 to the wheels.

needless to say transmission work is not exactly my strong suit. this will not be a diy project for me as i have no idea what im doing aside from replacing the clutch.

if you experience with any of these differentials or know of another one i could investigate id appreciate your input.

also, this car will see track time, but very little as it is my daily driver as well.

I have used all three brands in our builds but MFactory helical (rated 1000 HP) is the best value for the $$. The plate type LSD is used mostly in road race applications. For a daily driver with occasional track use, go with a helical LSD.

MFactory over the others just based on the customer service i received trying to place a custom order with the three companies and several others.

Talk to Steve over at MFactory guy is the man and very knowledgable and get you exactly what you are looking for for your specific set up.
