Head bolts into d15b7 block.. Possible to use longer ones

Head bolts into d15b7 block.. Possible to use longer ones
Apparently 2 holes on my block have stripped threads. However I noticed the holes go alot deeper than it seems neccesary. The threads are fine deeper into the hole and I also rethreaded them. If I get longer bolts would this work?
