Default transmission problems in 5th!!!!!

every gear is fine except for 5th. It just started about a week ago, when I'm on the highway cruising in 5th it will just pop out of gear. I'm thinking maybe my shift linkage might need to be adjusted, the syncros are going out, or maybe something in the tranny is messed up. Somedays it will do it more than other days, its usually on the highway and sometimes down at lower speeds, but only in 5th gear. Oh yeah, I've got a b16a with an s1 tranny. What do you guys think it might be?

maybe your motor mounts are causing the motor to shift alot which is puling it out of gear. maybe your shift bushings are loose, or your linkage might not be lined up right.

i had the same problem. check the fluid level in your tranny or check for leaks from your tranny.

I dont think my engine mounts are causing the problem. I've had the engine in there since about last december. I didnt even think of the tranny fluid. Hopefully thats the problem and not something really big.
