Ok first off I would like to say that this was very stupid of me.
On my way back home the other day I was chilling on the interstate. I was in the right lane and a car in the left was pacing me. I was coming up on anther vehicle ahead of me and the car to the left wasn't passing me. So I just downshifted to 4th pulled ahead so that I could get over and pass. Well VTEC engaged and I hadn't done a good pull in a while. It was clear for at least 1mi ahead so I just stayed on it a little more. Hit 5th gear and the car was still climbing extremely hard. I stayed on it. A few seconds passed and I looked down as it swept easily past the 140mph mark. Now I'm kinda thinking "dang that's moving pretty freaking fast for 140mph". What the heck so I keep her planted. The speedo drops off the 150 mark and heads toward the unleaded fuel only lettering. That's when I look over at the tach and see it sinking into redline. A few moments later a small pop as the car hit the limiter in 5th! It was the softest rev limit ever since the car could only bounce off it once before having to strain to regain the speed it lost. I know someone just posted up a good gear speed calcutator but I couldn't find it but I used another one. With my tire diameter (195/50) and fuel cut at 8,600rpms it came out to be 155mph. Since this is gear determined this would be actual speed with no error correct? I really want to dyno the car now because apparently the header gave it alot more than I thought.

I felt very planted and smooth at that speed. All you can really hear is the engine. It's actually kinda quiet in a weird way. Might just be the adrenaline though.
