Default Question about redlining!

Till what rpm are you revving your 5th gens and what will happen if you rev it too high? Just curious about it because somebody told me that I can rev it close to 8.000 rpm sometimes without damaging anything.
Will I feel the difference when anything got damaged because of that?
Sorry for my english (I´m from germany!) and thanx a lot in advance!

some say that our ludes tachometer has some error in it. that is, it could be like 200rpms off. thus, if yer revving at 5200rpm, u may actually be revving at 5000.
thus, if u 'redline it' at 8000rpm, u may only be at 7800rpms.
4th gens peak power happen at 6800 versus 5th gens (7200~7400)... thus, u can beat on the 5th more etc. 8K is not detrimental, but wouldn't do it too many times.
for my 4th gen, i usually let off or change gears when i hit 7600-7700 rpm ( indicated).

Rev it into the red!! the car has a rev limitter to keep U from going to high in the rpm. If your drag racing and U shift into 2nd gear and your not still in VTEC after the shift U shifted to soon, take it into the red a bit then shift
