j30 Qs
We would need to know the heads that are on it in order to match up the ECU.
J30A1 or J30A4
You have to run piggybacks with the OEM ECU. If you run no OEM ECU, you can run an AEM EMS as a standalone ECU.
J30a1 what kind of piggy back do I need to run. Also what do I need to do about the imobilizer
You need a HONDA OEM ECU from a 98-02 Accord V6.
If you can find a UNICHIP you can run those. They have maps for certain mods. Those will be plug n play.
You could also run a AEM FIC-6 or a GREDDY e-manage. These will not be plug and play. Someone will need to wire up the extension harness or you could splice into the OEM harness (extension harness will not be required).
As far as the immobilizer, 2 choices:
1. Have the dealer recode the key to the ECU.
2. Take out the immobilizer.
** This might depend on your application. Kinda sounds like you might be swapping this into a Civic? ....if so, hop over to J32a.com and check that out.

I started pullin all the plastic covers off to go threw it all an I found the water pump was broke looks like the block is crack an possibly one of the heads I got on j32a.com but didn't find any
Sandrail. cool man
I've seen about 2 guys come on the v6-p site for J32 advice in their Sandrails. For that application a AEM standalone would be much better than stock ECU. Not sure about the tranny setups in those rails though. thats out of my scope of knowledge...
but, i can tell you if you were going to run that 4 speed auto with it, it is junk and wont last under those conditions.
A J32A2 would be better. That J30 is good, but it doesnt have the "umph" needed for get up and go. For about the same cash you spent you could have grabbed a working J32A2. those badboys are much more responsive.
I run the cams from that engine in my J35A3 heads, as a matter of fact.
theres gotta be a site somehwere for J32 dandrails. or V6 sandrails..
