Car starts then dies
As title says car stArts fine but if i dont step on the gas it just dies. No sputter or trying to stay alive just dies. It will stay on as long as i step on gas it runs ok on higher rpm but as soon as i get to lower rpm it starts hesitating and bucking.



After a couple moments of holding the gas to hold RPM it will eventually run on its own, and the problem only occurs on cold cold start. I'm pretty sure our engines have a cold start valve, I want to check more into that.

 

Any info would be much help?

 

Sounds like a low idle problem. Any CEL codes?

 

How about an idle control issue? The idle screw in too far or the idle air is not working?

 

What year(s) is the y7 from? Sounds like someone screwed the valve of the fitv in all the way.
