Default yea or nea

I really would like to remove the heat shields. They buzz too much. Will anything bad happen if I remove my heat shields besides the floorboard getting toasty.

If you have a stock header, that may be where your buzzing is coming from.

Actually, I just posted the same thing a while ago. I didnt know the stock headers buzzed. How do I fix this if it is indeed that? My car is making an awful buzzing sound right around like 3k rpm. It pissing me off cuz thats where i do most of my driving. Its almost impossible to pinpoint the problem. Any advice?

Sorry for the lack of info. but it seems to be coming from the heat shield by the cat. It buzzes alot in the midrange. I ve already tighened the exhuast manifold heat shield. Thanx for the help.

Your cat could be busted. Mine rattles too, but everyone i know with a b series who had a rattle just got a straigt pipe... it'll "cure all of what ails ya!" sorry, just thought i'd bust out a mid 1700s colonial expression

I took mine off, didn't fix it. I notice a little bit of heat coming up and out the
e-brake hole.

I got a straight pipe and am gonna put it on in an hour or so, i'll give you the results!

my old integra has all sorts of rattles. first rattle was fixed by removal of lower cat heat shield. second rattle = upper cat heat shield.

the third rattle was more of a buzzy sound... so i replaced the header like everyone said to do... still buzzy

turns out it was my b pipe on my exhaust...
