My car has the most annoying rattle at like exactly 3500 RPM is don't know where it comes from. I believe it's the stock headers and i've heard something about the headers making sounds. I was wondering if anyone knew anything that could help me out. thanks

 

Check the heatshield and the cat

 

You heard right! The stock header has an inner tube and an outer tube that are welded together. The welds break loose and the SOB rattles like a MFer. If that's in fact where you're hearing it, this is most likely the problem. Sounds like a good excuse for a real header, eh?

 

Well today i was getting the same thing it was rattling at 3000Rpm and i was like what the !!! had it on the jacks found a rock in the heat sheild above the resonator but that wasnt it...

had to take it to a garage anyways it was the resonator mid exhaust it got a little ding from a speed hump and yeah was messed up inside

well thats my rattle hope it aint yours cost me money and a rock would be free
